Ever wondered what it’s like to truly understand the ever-evolving world of SEO? This is the guy whose brain you want to pick. Our SEO & Digital Acquisition Manager, Aaron, is not only a bloomin’ knowledgable bloke, he also lives and breathes the culture of Torpedo. Read on to dip into his world.
I’m the SEO and Digital Acquisition Manager. I have been blessed with three and a half awesome years at Torpedo (and counting)!
I’m responsible for ensuring all our work meets SEO best practices. I do this so that our clients get the right traffic, and more business as a result. I do everything from planning and execution to reporting and analysis. I also manage paid media, buying across all channels including search, display, video and social.
Hmm, where do I start? I have a wide arsenal of software and tools I use on a regular basis. To name a few: SEM Rush, Moz, Screaming Frog, Search Metrics, AHRefs, Ads Planner, Page Speed Insights… but the list could go on forever.
“ The team are not only colleagues but great friends and I also enjoy socialising with the gang outside of work. ”
The highlight of my day would have to be the environment and people. The team are not only colleagues but great friends and I also enjoy socialising with the gang outside of work.
A challenge for me is being office-based as I’m fully of energy and hyperactive. This is why I go to the gym before work every morning – to bring myself back down to normal energy levels!
I am proud of everything we produce at Torpedo as I feel the company consists of highly talented individuals and I am proud to be part of this squad.
The Autodesk BIM 360 website was a really nice project to work on though, and we won some awards off the back of it too!
As a kid, I wanted to do all kinds of different things from footballer to boxer…lol! I also wanted to be a professional gamer as I was always glued to my computer and games consoles as a child.
I reckon I would have chosen to be a personal trainer or pursued training boxing/kickboxing full-time as it is something I have done for a long time and love.
I have always been interested in techy things. My nickname amongst my friends is ‘Techy Sarbs’. I took an interest in how the internet works and how to capitalise on business and exposure online over 10 years ago and I’ve never looked back.

Catch me on a beach with a beer in hand, or at a beach party when it’s extended annual leave. When it’s just the odd day here and there I’ll either be out with my little French Bulldog pup or doing something else that’s outdoors and active.
There are too many to choose from. Having the outdoor swimming pool and playing water volleyball in the peak of summer after work with the team has got to be up there though!
Push yourself outside of your comfort zone and you will continue to grow.
