The day David Cameron came to visit…

We recently invited Prime Minister and local MP David Cameron to our offices and we were very pleased when he said yes.

Being in his constituency, West Oxfordshire, and having recently settled into our new offices, we thought it would be nice for Mr Cameron to meet the Torpedo team and hear how marketing agencies like Torpedo contribute to the ever-growing creative industry.

During his visit on the 27th February, I was able to tell him the story of Torpedo and how we’ve grown over the last 11 years from 1, to a fantastic team of 40. We also gave him a guided tour of our new offices where he spoke with members of the team about the marketing and digital projects we’re working on, looked through some of our recent creative work and he even tried one of the mobile apps our team designed and developed for BAE Systems – Typhoon Time.

David Cameron, commented; “Torpedo has an inspiring story and an impressive list of clients. The creative industries play an important role in the British economy and Torpedo is a genuine example of a successful business that is working hard to stay at the top of their game and creating job opportunities in this sector.”

Our team made him very welcome and it certainly increased the Friday afternoon buzz in the office, especially as we couldn’t tell anyone until half an hour before he arrived – you should have seen their faces when we told them!
