Torpedo get all Tough in 2016!

Torpedo Tough Mudder Team

So it’s official – we are truly bonkers for even thinking we can do this, but we are going to give it a go. What am I talking about? Tough Mudder – the toughest half-marathon obstacle race known to mankind.

Yep, 16 super fit members of Torpedo – all volunteers and not one person was forced (well perhaps one!) have decided they are going to shun mediocrity and do something awe-inspiring to make 2016 a fantastic year!

So, on Saturday 30th April 2016 we will start our 12 mile run through 25 crazily concocted obstacles including arctic enema (seriously an ice bath from hell), electroshock therapy (1,000 dangling wires carrying 10,000 volts) and the famous mud mile (need I say more).

By the way, most of us are not really super fit – just super enthusiastic and more than a little bit scared for what we have let ourselves in for!

Of course we are not only doing this to feel totally epic. No sirs, we will be raising money for Cancer Research UK. So head over to our donations page and together we will beat cancer sooner!

Cancer ResearchI’ll be back in New Year with an update on how the team’s training is going and to see if we have all shifted that post Christmas belly.

Until then – Mud on Team Torpedo!!!
