The Design the Future programme was designed to engage secondary students in 3D design, by giving schools access to free Autodesk design and engineering software.
As this was a new venture for Autodesk, they came to us for help with developing a brand for the programme. Although the campaign was targeted at teachers, the logo needed to appeal to students in some way too, which gave our creative team licence to really have some fun and push the boundaries of the Autodesk brand guidelines.
The Design the Future brand really came to life as we began to develop a campaign. We spent a day in a school photographing real situations with students and teachers being inspired by the technology.
Autodesk’s offering of free software was recognised by President Obama, which helped to further drive awareness of the campaign.
