Transport for London hosted a stand at the Employee Benefits Live event at London Olympia in September 2014 to promote their Cycling Workplaces Scheme. This scheme offers London employers free support and services to help promote cycling to work.
TfL was keen to create eye-catching stand collateral and an interactive element to attract visitors to the area. The target market was senior employee benefits, reward and HR professionals.
Along with creating a number of event assets, including a large backdrop event stand, Torpedo designed an engaging interactive quiz to sustain crowd interest at the event. This quiz took the user on a journey and probed them about their cycling habits and knowledge. Using content from TfL’s ‘London by Bike’ Cycle Safety Seminar, the quiz effectively communicated the key cycle safety tips and benefits of cycling in the capital. Participants who completed the quiz were able to enter a prize draw to win a year’s Barclays Cycle Hire membership.
The quiz was a great tool in both attracting visitors to the stand and showing the value of TfL’s products and services. The quiz was created as a web based app for use on an iPad.
TfL experienced a high number of visitors to the prominent stand at the event and the interactive quiz helped to generate some important leads. TfL are so pleased with the quiz that they intend to use it in their ongoing engagement campaign, on their website and social media channels. Torpedo met the brief in delivering a high impact and engaging addition to the overall look and feel of the campaign.
