On a particularly hot and sunny Saturday at the end of June, our determined Torpedo team of nine set out on a memorable journey – taking on a demanding 24km (approximately 15 miles) stretch of the Cotswold Way Challenge. Beginning in the historic market town of Cirencester and finishing in the charming village of Painswick, the route took us on a scenic adventure through rolling hills, shaded woodlands, open fields, and some of the Cotswolds’ most picturesque villages.
Despite the soaring temperatures and tough inclines in places, spirits remained high throughout the day. Blisters and a few steep climbs certainly tested our endurance – but with snack breaks (!), teamwork, determination, and plenty of encouragement, we made it to the finish line together.
What made the challenge even more meaningful was our shared goal: to raise funds for Tommy’s, a charity dedicated to funding research into miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth. It’s a cause that means a great deal to many of us, and we were honoured to walk in support of their vital work. If you’d like to support our efforts, please visit our Just Giving page.
We’re incredibly proud of our team and a big heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who has already donated to our nominated charity this year.
