Two charity events = Twice the fun!

Each year, our team nominates which charities they’d like to support. We then put a shortlist forward for everyone to cast their vote and determine who we will be sponsoring. For 2023, our nominated charities are Yellow Submarine and Survivors Of Bereavement By Suicide.

We love helping others, and throughout the year, we take part in a variety of activities and plan several charity events. Events and activities that we took part in last year included the Blenheim Triathlon, Volunteering with SOFEA, and the Isle of Wight Challenge.

We cover the cost of event entry fees and where needed travel and accommodation for our team, so they can concentrate on having a great time while putting their all into raising as much money as possible! The Torpedo teams are raring to go and so far, are taking part in two events this year:

• Blenheim Triathlon: At the beginning of June, Torpedo team members are set to run, cycle, and swim amongst the beautiful surroundings of Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire. We have entrants for the Full Individual Sprint Triathlon and Full Individual Super Sprint Triathlon events!
• Lake District Ultra Challenge: The weekend after the Blenheim Triathlon, 18 intrepid explorers are going on a challenging but picturesque walk, jog, or run along the 25k or 100km Windermere loop in the Lake District. One of the team has even registered for the full 100km loop!
