Torpedo is very pleased to have made donations to not one, but two fantastic local charities this Christmas.
The first is SSNAP who provide direct support to sick and premature babies and their parents at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford. When newborn babies need specialist, often life-saving medical care at birth, it can be a traumatic and difficult time for the parents and families. SSNAP are there to aid families, provide funding for specialist support and medical equipment, as well as fund life-changing research.
We have also donated to Special Effect who help put fun and inclusion back into the lives of people with physical disabilities by providing technology that allows them to access and enjoy video games. The variety of services they offer have seen a rising demand during the last few months. In particular, StarGaze eye-controlled computers, which provide people who are paralysed except for their eyes, the ability to communicate and regain some independence.
These two charities are very special to our team and we’d like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to SSNAP and Special Effect – we hope our donations can go some way in showing our appreciation and helping them to continue the remarkable work they do for people in the local area.
