This year, we’ve donated our Easter eggs to local good causes.

Every year at Torpedo we buy an Easter egg for each member of our team. Obviously, being super-organised we had them all ready at the start of March, before the lockdown. With our whole team now working merrily from home they’ve been sitting in our empty office gathering dust. Now, we don’t believe in wasting food (especially not chocolate), so we thought there must be some worthwhile local groups and causes who could make better use of them in the current circumstances.

So we gave OLIO a call. OLIO connects neighbours with each other and with local businesses so that surplus food can be shared, not thrown away. They came and picked them up, over 70 of them (whilst observing social distancing), and we’re pleased to say our Easter eggs have been distributed to local food banks, families, churches and care homes around the Oxford area.

Happy Easter from all of us at Torpedo!

And all of that without resorting to a single egg-related pun. See, we’re not that predicteggble…
