The sun was shining once again on our annual Torpedo Summer Party at Kirtlington Village Hall. Colleagues, family, and friends all enjoyed a wide variety of games and activities including F1 racing simulators, inflatable jousting, curling table, garden games, volleyball, and the ever-popular bouncy castle. And if that wasn’t entertainment enough, we also got to watch the ‘Bubble Man’ and get our face painted.
There was a huge selection of food and chilled drinks with The Pizza Boys Bicester van proving very popular, along with a huge buffet spread and the pick ‘n’ mix, which all the children (and let’s be honest, the adults) made a beeline for upon arrival!
Even one of the locals’ dogs enjoyed the buffet after stealing a pack of cocktail sausages and devouring the whole lot before his owner or anyone else could stop him!
As the event continued, the familiar sound of the ice cream van drew a large crowd, as the most elaborate ice creams were handed out. He even played ‘Happy Birthday’ for the face painter who was working on her birthday.
We all had a wonderful time sharing a fun-filled afternoon with everyone. A special thanks goes to the team for organising and setting up yet another successful Summer Party and we look forward to next year’s event.
