Our 2024 charities

This year we have continued to support the local community with our nominated charity; the Oxford Children’s Hospital Charity (part of the Oxford Hospitals Charity).

The Torpedo team have taken part in some great activities for our chosen charity over the past 12 months. Either by participating in sponsored events, getting involved with fun office activities…or by just giving their time and money to support this amazing cause. Here’s what we have been getting up to in 2024:

• Blenheim OX5: The five-mile course around glorious the Blenheim Palace grounds in Oxfordshire offered a great challenge to the 19 Torpedo participants, including 4 of the team who ran the whole way.
• Blenheim Triathlon: Now in our tenth year if entering, the Torpedo team members ran, cycled, and swam amongst the beautiful surroundings of Blenheim Palace.
• Baking, Books & Betting: Not all of us like to be so energetic(!).. we also like to eat, read and errm gamble(?) too… so the Torpedo team also arranged a sweepstake for the Euros, a delicious cake bake sale and even provided an opportunity for the wider team to buy pre-loved books.

Currently the total monies raised for our charity is over £1,000!!

Our pro bono work for Homeless Oxfordshire

We’ve also had the pleasure of working with Homeless Oxfordshire – a local charity who help to provide accommodation for people experiencing homelessness.

The team created a very poignant and powerful animation that would help the charity raise awareness and support fundraising activities.
