In the competitive and rapidly changing digital landscape, Panasonic Connect recognised the need for a fresh and innovative website to provide an exceptional online experience for their 2.5 million yearly global visitors.
The goal? Overcome the challenges that customers face when trying to access information about high-quality products, services, and support, whilst also highlighting a new solutions architecture that uses a combination of products within industry verticals. To do that we needed to create a state-of-the-art, multilingual/regional, efficient, SEO optimised, and customer-centric website – oh and in record time!
We needed to ensure the new site had a mobile-first approach, the ability to share content across multiple countries without having to duplicate the original content, utilised a compliant and highly secure Content Management System (CMS), had a more modern, enjoyable, consistent, and customer-focussed experience, provided freedom of content creation to admin users, ensured only relevant content out of 100,000 items was imported, and made sure the site was fast and met accessibility standards. To say we had our work cut out was an understatement!
As with all our large-scale projects, multiple teams within Torpedo including UX/UI, Digital Engagement, SEO, Digital Production, Motion, Strategy, and Client Services collaborated along with the client on a regular basis to deliver an outstanding and well-received website design, build, and user experience.
The new, fresh website draws on Panasonic Connect’s mission to ‘Change Work, Advance Society and Connect to Tomorrow’ by presenting a comprehensive and current collection of thought leadership pieces, product details, marketing materials, and reference information to both new and returning users in a much more user-friendly and intuitive way, whilst also highlighting industry solutions.
Customers can now find product information in a few clicks, and they can view dealer and reseller information quickly with Google Map integration. The vast number of resources are now beautifully layed-out by content type and accessible in one place. This was all thanks to the in-depth research we conducted to improve the site navigation.
By focussing on their customer’s experience, Panasonic have certainly connected with their audience since the launch of the new site, and the stats speak for themselves. Since launch, there has been a huge 180% increase in mobile users, a 190% increase in engaged sessions from mobile devices and an increase in traffic to the downloads page.
