Paragon designs and develops industry-leading route optimisation software that plans the most efficient delivery routes for a wide range of distribution operations. Its software is used in more than 60 countries around the world by customers such as Argos, John Lewis, DHL, Tesco and Warburtons.
Paragon engaged Torpedo to reinvent their global online presence and build a new website that delivered a more streamlined user experience. As well as creating a new user journey for the site, we combined three previously separate websites into one international multilingual site specifically focused on the UK and US markets.
We started by immersing ourselves into Paragon with a two day discovery workshop so that our team could learn everything they needed to know about the Paragon brand, its software and its customers. Our UX and SEO teams then developed the user journey around each audience scenario and mapped content for relevance at each stage.
The website needed to be easy to update, so we designed a flexible customised CMS page builder in WordPress that provides the Paragon marketing team with full control over each page. As well as incorporating the subdomain for Paragon’s proof of delivery product fleXipod into the website, we also integrated SalesFusion and a GeoIP service that would detect whether visitors were located in the US or the UK, and display content appropriately. This ensured the language and messaging was immediately relevant for visitors from each of Paragon’s two largest markets.
Paragon were delighted with the design, user journey and functionality of the new website and the way we had been able to seamlessly integrate the additional software applications. Since the website went live, we have subsequently integrated GoToWebinar and optimised performance based on the site metrics. We continue to support Paragon on the ongoing development of the site and have a development roadmap including a new project to rebuild the company’s Extranet site Paragon World, a customer portal that gives access to training materials, how to guides and webinars.
